The Little Music Maker

Let me 1st share…. the minute it reached 12midnight on 24 june, my phone lines got cut - both the work phone and the personal phone. I was waiting to receive some msges and for the WHOLE few hours after 12, i didn’t get anything at all. AND there and then, i tried to call out AND i realised MY NUMBER IS BARRED. SO it’s singtel’s birthday wish for me “Eigene, happy birthday.” It was definitely a silent one.

Anyway, on 23rd, i was happily in church practicing for the Taiwan & HK trip which is pretty much crazy cos we’re doing MANY indo songs. But for one thing on my list which i have yet to be doing is the violin & piano duet. OH DARN, i need to practice after i finish this entry. Score reading and much of it comes in place when it’s going to be in front of MAJOR big crowd overseas.

So well, as i was practicing, i was really excited to be turning 24 just at 12!!!! And i was really waiting eagerly for the clock to show 12mn!!!! AND THERE!!!! I got really lovely friends like the youth band/singers, poh, ally, david and kc. YAY!!!! And i got a lovely CHOCOLATE CAKE!!!

It was YUMMYLICIOUS!!!

So the whole of today i stayed home to talk online and had alot of people “complaining” that they cannot FIND ME since morning cos i got NO phone line. And then i received calls ON MY HOUSE PHONE and it was wonderful. HAHAHAH!!! Finally, i get to use the house phone. So anyway, i met up with my girls and it was the MOST LOVELIEST TIME for the year to me.

I don’t excatly know how to pen them down or describe the feeling of gatherings and meet ups for me. Well, to me, it’s the BEST THING ON EARTH that everyone’s together to sit down and share about life and stuff. So some photos for you to see…. or u can go facebook to check it out….

So this year i got CUP CAKES for birthday and it is DEFINITELY LOVELY!!!!!!!!!!! But CDE is missing…. i have like 4 sets of FGABC!!!! WOO!!!!! VERY SWEET AND VERY CHOCOLATEY!!!!

It is the good friendships in life that propell you forward, make you a better person and ensure that they help you fulfill your dream. Hee hee, i hope we all can go tokoyo this late august together over the weekend!!!

It was really a lovely birthday celebration - WITHOUT my phone so there was much silence - PLUS like my boot’s sole dropped offf……. so it was a WONDERFUL day to end the WHOLE day. Still, i was happy, really very happy.

I guess it’s through ur birthday that you know that people around you really love you and care for you and they’d go the extra mile just to make you darn super duper happy. Hee, i’m quite gila papaya for now. COS TOMORROW GOING FOR MISSION TRIP and i have yet to organise and pack my stuff.

OFFICIAL BERKLEE AUDITION & INTERVIEW NOTIFICATION.

So i went crazy after i got the email letter when i retrieved it from my phone and hurriedly called and texted the whole lot of people who knew about my application……. And of course besty gave me really good encouragements and support. If u can, COME WITH ME, we go holiday!

And people like her made me go crazy when they just stood by you no matter what. They’re like ur fans more than ur friends or rather, ur friend-fan, fan-friend. HAHHA!

And of course to my gang of musicians and some singers…  I am even more thankful when the minute i texted sherlyn and then asked if she can come along (cos i am super duper greennnyyy and stuff about travelling overseas alone… so needed some friends) she immediately checked out the location and got info about the hotel, air tickets and money matters settled in like half n hour. She is good. She can be my older sister to take care of me, really. Thank you Sherlyn. And thank you ALANC, for telling me that i’m brave. Thank you thank you.

And of course my cgms and my brothers. HAHAHAHH!!!! So grey the line. Like out of the closest brothers, 2 are my cgl-friends and the other 2 are my cgms. Awesome, i like it. Thanks for the encouragements….

Thanks for being my youth gang band mates…. i really like it that we’re so crazy and that we love music a whole lot!!! I’m looking forward to Taiwan and HK. It’s going to be a fabulous good time.

And most of all to OH BELOVED PEOPLE who knows KL and has earlier on introduced him to us. HAHHAHAH!!!!!! Thank you for sharing ur life and live experiences with people of MY generation and thank you for inspiring us to love music and love God even more. Thank you for being REAL HUMAN BEINGS and for making me feel REAL too. I guess the MOST LOVING part is still introducing KL to us, or rather me. HAHAHAHHAH!!!!!

3. HAIR - i better do some rebonding and make sure it looks really straight and then either add a RED or change to ALL cool blue black or purple black or just BLACK BLACK hair. I’m so going to look like a xiao char bo.
4. Lesson plan - 16 and ALL must end their 4th lesson by nxt wed for the month
5. Inform kids - that i’ll be away from 25 june - 2 july (which will probably rest for the weekend til 4 july)
6. Practice my duet for Rebeccan Tan!!! Awesome classical is hitting me hard for this moment. (date line: by 24 i gotta NAIL 2 songs)
7. BIRTHDAY celebration - probably a crazy dinner or a late night supper. There are a few people that MUST come and of course someone whom i’m darn crazy over MUST come. HEE, so secretive i know. Nevermind, don’t bother guessing, u’ll never find out who, only my 2 girls know. AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY, there’re some things that i’d like to have for birthday….

If there was something that i can thank God for in my life despite all the craze that i’ve went through, it would be aweseome friendships. Yes, and these 2 crazy buddies are the ones who share the same beliefs (in general), and who have walked the walk in their effort to build good and strong friendships. I’ve always made it a point to share whatever that’s in my heart to them and it’s important that your girl friends know you well and that you can present yourself - the good and the bad - just in front of them. I can be myself and that’s Awesome. They know who i’m crazy over recently - and i mean SO DARN FREAKING crazy. OH man. Darn. HAHA!!!! LALALALALALALA……..

So this awesome friendship is going to last a lifelong time. I know i have alot of SUPERB guy friends and i must say i thank GOD for these super good guy friends but in all, yah, you know what i’m going to say - my girl friends are still the closest to me! YAY!!!!

For this good thing, i must tell the world that………………  WOO LALA….. it’s important to build strong relationships and good friendships as you grow in church because having been in church for almost 11 years, the ups and downs are crazy BUT it is usually the friends around you who’d pull you back on track.

My friend told me that i’m a faithful and loyal friend. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA i hope i am. I think i give the 2 of them lots of nonsense growin up together since primary school. HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!!! Even  my guy friends told me, if i were to be a guy, they’d whack me upside down already. HAHAHAHA!!!

Ok so much for crazy moments like that as a bad and good friend. I’m just michevious and very cheeky at times lar. So………for a good spoonful of sugar for tonight before i head to bed…..

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!

This past week, i felt alot, learnt alot and experienced alot. To literally write down my thoughts and actions followed would probably mean a whole long day of essays and blog entries…. so.. just to piece a pleasant picture together….. we should just do them in short paragraphs with photos that will speak a thousand words.

I learnt how to be a better musician in church. My BBB and GF were out of town this week to task for something pretty major. So there left with MY *generation of musicians working together to handle pressures, scoldings and stuff. I played for morning pm and sot at jw everyday this week and made that few mistakes every day too. I had some experiences when my SF came to bang my kb, shouted to tell me stuff, corrected me and taught me how to flow. I appreciate that - and that to me, was an awesome learning process. Because if BBB and OF weren’t around, i wouldn’t hv receive such things 1st hand - without being filtered. Thank you for the opportunity to learn. I am grateful.

I’ve learnt that flowing with different Ps makes u more sensitive to God and showed me a different insight to how God uses different people but all to fulfill his purpose. For once, i thought it was really awesome flowing with PT just a week ago but when i did it this week with SF it was like 1000 steps ahead of what i’ve usually encountered. I texted melvin, francine, gladys, suhui and yueze about what i felt inside of me just this week. Where the 1000 steps were lowered from SF’s side and i took like 10 steps gradually from my side too… so that we could balance out. It was not just playing the keyboard, but asking the Holy Spirit - where are we heading now, in my musical playing. This to me, heads my direction and draws people into God’s presence. I need to learn better. SF is really 100000000 steps ahead of all the other times i’ve played with others. I’m climbing a ladder now, i hope i’ll escalate in this.

Throughout the years of awesome friendships, i brought my friend good laughters and bad sorrows. HAHA, but we always end up loving each other as friends. I enjoy the friendship. In fact, it was kinda cool to be able to intro Francine, Gladys, Melvin and even Yueze to my OFs. At least they know these are my closest friends - besides all the other musicians… So well, i am enjoying my friendships at this moment and i am glad to say, we’re so awesome.

So i had a short but super fruitful talk with Besty ysterday and i find it very very very good that we are different yet similar and we have good conversations to talk about. HAHA… somehow, even if the world doesn’t understand or what, i know francine and u would. And that’s why, i always believe… despite having that whole lot of guy friends and MANY more (younger) guy friends in my life, having girl friends is the MOST important. And honestly, if u think i am close to my guy friends, my GIRL FRIENDS ARE DARN closer - closest. Haha and that should be the way, oh well, and also cos my ministry alot of guy friends la. what to do! So…. hee hee………….so many underlying things going on.. and only Francine and Gladys know about it… Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm………… I am so secretive and cheeky, i know.

I will remember this photo. Cos this was the * generation - star generation. And this week, we went through some great time together and helping each other to get better. I love us and i want us to know that we are here for each other.

And these crazy group of music lovers are out to be the best in our generation. HAHAHHAHAHA!!!! So well, i enjoy the friendship, frankness and craziness that we all share. Music is so awesome and musicians that make music together is like WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO lala!!!!!

I prayed this week for awesome friendships to be established among us and that there won’t be any idiotic foxes that come in and spread toxic among us.

For now, i’ve recently just mad a few new friends and i pray that friendships will be awesome.

AND. i like my cgl. HAHAHAA i think he is so open and so crazy. Thank you for spending that much time with me recently to talk to me. I appreciate it and i enjoy the fellowship we have. Thank you very much.

SO, for this week, i am going to be an awesome friend and worker…. and also be an awesome MUSICIAN and teacher.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a lot of fun playing K2 today with Sendy on K1. I am happy that we’ve met our greatest master yet, and learnt many stuff from his playing and also to tried to play like him.

This week i had alot of fun and learnt alot of things. I felt very humbled also and caught alot from my SF - spiritual father….

5) Friends

This is where i live…. Yes, this is part of punggol. So far, so desserted…..

I went out with my mom and we spent time together talking about my growin up life and about what i’m about to do in the future. I love my mom and i think we look alike.

So this week, Chengjun tied the knot and Scarlet White attended the wedding. This is JY and his pretty gf. I so do think they look alike. Happy.

We walked through together…. in our crazy band performing years…. I love us and i really enjoy the relationship we have with each other. Congrats Cheng Jun, i am VERY happy for you.

So we ALL got caught and were told NOT to climb over the gate just to get out buy food. I am a small dictator and this is what i ask my gang members to do - REBEL. Haha, no lar. Just saying, i went for Youth Camp and met alot of friends and these are some of them. I enjoy awesome NEW friendships. Kudos to all who played - the band did really well and the singers sang well too. Let’s go out SOON!

My Kbist for this week in SOT - we played EVERYDAY together. U’ll become Super duper good and excellent one day and outshine all of us! I’m proud of you.

For a moment of thought, i have LOTs to write. But i think i’ll continue about it much later. Anyway, these are some interesting facts that i’ve learnt….

I’m 24 and i’m in MY generation of people whom sometimes i felt we have different lingos and we have different ways of conversing to each other. Sot this year makes me thought alot about people around me cos i seem to have known a whole new group of great souls that i’m looking foward to meet.

Alright, talk about something more important that touched my heart later.

I JUST SAW MY TEACHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The one on the KEYBOARD is my JAZZ MUSIC TEACHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO SHE ALSO KNOWS KL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Haha, i should go for more piano classes… hee!!!!! WOO LALALALAL!!!!!

So you were right about why i was saddened these period of few months. I am just going to be this brave little small girl with a big heart who’s going to conquer nations. HEE HEE!!!! Haiz, it’s much heart felt for me actually.
